- Pyllanthus urinaria is a monoecious, annual or short-lived perennial herb. Its growth habit can be erect or sprawling and it can reach up to 60 cm tall. The stems have a reddish colour. The branchlets are 3-13 cm long, flattened, often slightly winged and sparsely hairy.
